You can delete your Reel Afrika account and the personal data tied to it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Delete it in the app
This is the fastest way and removes everything immediately:

Open the Reel Afrika app.
•
Go to Profile → Account (or Settings).
•
Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Your account and associated data are deleted right away. This cannot be undone.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in to the app, email us from the address on your account and we will delete it for you:
•
Send it from the email address linked to your account so we can verify it is you.
We complete email deletion requests within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What gets deleted
•
Your account and sign-in identity (email / linked provider).
•
Your profile, preferences, and settings.
•
Watch history, watchlist, and release reminders.
•
Comments, ratings, and any content you submitted.
•
Reward and coin balances, referral records, and push-notification tokens.
What we keep, and why
After deletion we retain only the minimum the law requires or that we cannot technically remove:
•
Purchase records. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled by Apple and Google. Their receipts and billing records are held by them under their policies, not deletable by us; we keep the minimal transaction records needed for tax, accounting, and refund/fraud handling.
•
Aggregated, anonymized analytics that can no longer identify you.
•
Anything we are legally required to retain (for example to resolve a dispute or comply with a lawful request), for only as long as required.
